ㅇ Batchim — the [ng] Sound

ㅇ is a letter with two faces. At the start of a syllable it is silent, but as a batchim it becomes the ng sound in "song". It is the final sound of 사랑 (love).

[ng]

Final ㅇ becomes [ng]

How to Pronounce

Same as the ng in "sing". Raise the back of your tongue and end through the nose — but never add a [g] sound after it.

Common Mistake
