Community Guidelines
The HangulHub community is a place for people who love Hangul, the Korean language and Korean culture to ask and share. Please help keep it comfortable for everyone.

What this place is for
Questions from your Korean studies, the lyrics of a song you love, an expression you learned today — anything goes.
Don't worry if your Korean isn't perfect. You can write in English, too.

Please keep in mind
- 01
Be respectful
No insults, put-downs, discrimination or hate speech. Be generous with people who are just starting to learn Korean.
- 02
Don't share personal information
Don't post phone numbers, addresses, messenger IDs or anything else that could identify you or someone else.
- 03
No ads, promotion or spam
Repeated content or posts promoting products or services may be removed.
- 04
Ask before posting others' work
Get permission and credit the source when you post someone else's writing, art or photos.
- 05
No illegal, obscene or violent content
Content that breaks the law or offends or threatens others is not allowed.
- 06
Don't pretend to be someone else
Do not pose as another member or as the HangulHub team.
- 07
One person, one account
Please do not create multiple accounts.
Posting limits and points
To prevent spam, there is a limit on how much you can write in a day. A day means the last 24 hours.
Posts
- Per account
- 5 a day
- Per internet connection (IP)
- 10 a day
- Back to back
- One per minute
- Points
- 20 points · up to 3 times a day
Comments
- Per account
- 50 a day
- Per internet connection (IP)
- 100 a day
- Back to back
- One every 10 seconds
- Points
- 5 points · up to 10 times a day
- An internet connection is often shared — by a family or a school, for example — so its limit is higher than the per-account limit.
- If you delete a post or comment, the points you earned for it are taken back. Deleted posts still count toward your daily limit.
Good to know
If the guidelines are not followed
The team may hide or remove posts and comments. Repeated cases may lead to restrictions on the account. Posts and comments reported by several people are hidden automatically and reviewed by the team.
What you write
You keep the copyright to what you write. HangulHub only uses it to show it on the site and in search results. Once you delete a post, it no longer appears on the site.
Personal information
When you write a post or comment, your IP address is converted into a form that cannot be reversed and kept for 2 days. It is used only to prevent spam and is deleted after 2 days.
