ㄴ Batchim — the [n] Sound
The ㄴ batchim is almost identical to the English n, making it the easiest batchim for learners. The tip of your tongue touches the upper gum while air flows through the nose.

Common Mistake
When ㄴ meets ㄹ, it changes to [l] (lateralization): 연락 is pronounced [yeollak]. This change is covered in detail in the Pronunciation Rules unit.
