The writing system that became a world heritage

In October 1997, the Hunminjeongeum Haerye was inscribed on UNESCO's Memory of the World Register. This is the only case in the world for a document about a writing system.

International Status of Hangul Day

Hangul Day (October 9th) is a national holiday in South Korea and a day to promote the excellence of Hangul to the world. Many countries hold events commemorating Hangul Day.
